During 2024 the band has once again played at many local events in Yate, Tytherington and Thornbury. We continue to work co-operatively with other local brass bands assisting each other with players when needed and are very grateful for their help.

We are now approaching a very busy time of the year when we will be carolling and playing Christmas music around the area.  You can see us at the Mall Cribbs Causeway, Asda and in Thornbury at the lights switch on, The Swan, Tesco and the Farmers Market – see the event information for more details.

We are always grateful for the organisations and public who support us at these events.

This year we have welcomed a few players into our ranks but we are still actively trying to recruit more players to join us. You may have seen adverts in the local press e.g. Thornbury Magazine and Thornbury Voice, in posters and on social media.

The band performed at the first “Love Thornbury” event in  September 2023 and also at the annual Royal British Legion Remembrance service at Tytherington in November 2023.

We continued to work with other local brass bands throughout the year in helping each other out with deps for various events when needed and are grateful to other local bands for helping us in 2023.

In December we did a variety of Christmas carolling events at the Mall Cribbs Causeway and Thornbury including the Swan, Tesco, Farmers Market and are grateful for the organisations and public who supported us.

The band is actively trying to recruit more players to join us in 2024 and to schedule events for 2024. We have placed adverts in the local press including the Thornbury Magazine and  Thornbury Voice and posters have been placed in organisations around Thornbury. Also we have been active on social media.

We are looking forward to performing at the ” Love Thornbury” event in September and will be preparing for The Tytherington Remembrance Day service.

The band is beginning to plan a number of Christmas carolling engagements in and around the Thornbury area.
